In the historical sector of Lebreton Flats, this Ottawa rental property is located in one of Ottawa's most debatable yet sought after neighbourhoods. As a waterfront neighbourhood, Lebreton Flats has a long and sorted history. By the mid 1800’s, it had developed into a mixed community to serve the local lumber mills, it had to rebuild itself after being almost completely destroyed by fire in the early 1900's.
By 1960, an expropriation effort had been initiated to clear the area to give way for development of government buildings. Most of this waterfront gem lay waste for almost 40 years, and now, new amenities and substantial development is being introduced to the area. All things combined, the revitalization of Lebreton Flats will provide residents with a neighbourhood complete with all amenities.
The addition of the Canadian War Museum, vast park and festival space, as well as commercial development mean big things for this historical community. Lebreton Flats is already serving as the hub for the western portion of the Transitway, and nearby Booth Street is a main shopping street with personal service and retail outlets, and is within walking distance for most of the neighbourhood. OC Transpo routes to greater Ottawa are easily accessible, however route 316 stops just outside the entrance of this venerable Lebreton rental.
These completely modernized townhomes offer three + one bedrooms, and include five appliances (fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer and dryer) within the designer kitchens. Outdoor parking is available for an added monthly cost. Ceramic flooring, gas fireplaces, alarm systems and sun decks in the back yard round out the list of features for these spacious Ottawa townhomes.
