Blossom Park is a charming, family friendly neighbourhood located in the south end of the city of Ottawa. Considered an outer- suburb, it was part of the city of Gloucester until the large amalgamation that occurred in 2001. Its current borders are, to its north, Hunt Club Road, the Airport Parkway to the west, Conroy Road to the east and the NCC Greenbelt as its southern limitation.
Home to many schools and parks, there is a large public library and the South Keys mall not far away. The largest on Ottawa's South side, the mall contains large grocery stores, dentists, hair stylists, bargain outlets and much more. One small mall was recently opened, and contains a Farm Boy grocery store, Dollar it! And Giant Tiger bargain outlets, as well as a dentist office and the new Blossom Park Library.
OC Transpo's South-end Transit Station guarantees transportation to everywhere in Ottawa. The north south rail line will pass along the western edge of the neighbourhood in expansion efforts to be completed in 2009. Bus routes 142, 144, 40, 641, 642, and 646 all wind throughout the community with many convenient stops.
